If anyone knows anything about the history of Carlton, or any interesting anecdotes then be sure to get in contact with me (either e-mail, or pop around for a cup of coffee perhaps) and I'll add it to this page.

This section has some historic photographs of Carlton, as well as some links to other sites of interest. I've also included the Kelly's Directory entries for 1847, 1864, 1875, 1883, 1896, 1900, 1922, 1929, 1933, and 1937. There are also a few newspaper cuttings from the Archives. I've started work transcribing some census entries, and marriage registers, but finishing this will take some time! For Carlton Green we have now an essay (including photographs) about the green. Finally there is a description of all the Listed Houses in Carlton and Willingham Green.

The genealogy web site GENUKI has an entry here for Carlton which outlines which records are held, and where. The link at the top of Carlton's entry shows the surrounding villages as well.

Here is a link to a transcription of the war memorial near the church.
