This is the last will and Testament of me John Onion of the
parish of Carleton cum Willingham in the County of Cambridge carpenter made this
second day of March one thousand eight hundred and fifty three in form and
manner following I give and bequeath to Margaret Onion my beloved wife all and
every my household furniture live and dead stock and out door effects money or
security or securities for money whatsoever or wheresoever the same may be to
her own and at her disposal Also a certain sum of money to be paid at my death
from the National Provident Life Insurance in Company's office 48 Granchurch?
Street in which my life is now insured for 100 £ And I hereby nominate
institute and appoint my said wife Margaret Onion Sole Executrix under
this my last will In witness whereof I have set my hand this day and year first
above written - John Onion - Signed by John Onion the testator in the
presence of us who in this presence and at his request and in the presence of
each other have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto - Phillip

Proved at London 6th June 1857 before the judge by the oath of Margaret
Onion Widow the relict the sole Executrix to whom ???ori was granted having been

Im Johannis Lawsell In the name of God Amen John Lawsell of Willingham
green in the parish of Carlton cum Willingham in the County of Cambr that being
sick in Body but of sound and perfect mind and memory praised be God do make and
ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner following first I commend my
Soul to God who gave it hoping by the meritorious Death and passion of my Lord
and Saviour Jesus Christ to have free pardon of all my sins and a joyfull
resurrection at the last day my Body I commit to the Earth from whence it came
to be decently buryed at the discretion of my Executrix hereafter named my
worldly Estate I dispose therof as followeth first I give unto my most loving
Wife all and singular my Spouses Messuages Lands Tenements and Hereditaments
with all and singular their appurtenances as some of them are held by Copy of
Court Roll of the Manor of Carlton cum Willingham aforesaid and also all my fre
Lans and Estate whatsoever and wheresoever to have and to hold both my Copyhold
and Freehold Estate to her and her assignes? for and during the term of her
natural life and after her decease If my said Wife should now be with child and
should afterwards have a child or children by me then I give all my said estate
to my child or children that shall be born of her and to their heirs and
assignes? for ever But if there be no such issue between us then I give all my
said Estate both Copy and Free as aforesaid to my right heir and his assignes
for ever from the decease of my said wife Elizabeth Lawsell
ITEM I give unto the poor of the Parish of Carlton aforesaid the sum of forty
shillings and to the poor of the parish of Brinkley the like sum of forty
shillings to be paid to them within one Month after my decease at the discretion
of my Executrix All the rest of my Goods Chattells movables and immovables real?
and? personal Estate whatsoever I give unto my loving Wife Elizabeth Lawsell
aforesaid and to her Heirs and Assignes for ever and I do hereby nominate and
appoint my said Wife Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby

This is the last will and Testament of me Swan Nash the elder of a Carlton
Grange in the county of Cambridge Gentleman I give and bequeath unto my beloved
wife Hester Nash one clear? annuity of four hundred pounds a year to commence
from my decease and to routine payable during the term of her natural life by
actual? quarterly payments on the twenty fifth day of March the twenty fourth
day of June the twenty ninth day of September and the twenty fifth day of
December in every year the first payment thereof to be made on such of the said
quarterly days of payment as shall next happen after my decease and also a
proportionate sum for the fractional period (if any) of the quarter which shall
or may be pending or current? at the time of the decease of my said wife to be
paid immediately on ourh? decease also I give and bequeath unto my said beloved
wife Hester Nash all ourh? part and so much of my household goods and furniture
plate linen china and books as she shall select and choose at her option and
discretion alsod? subject and charge the said annuity upon all my freehold and
copyhold messuages lands and hereditaments in aid of my personal estate also I
give to my Son Swan Nash the sum of one thousand pounds of lawful money to be
paid by deduction out of money he may owe me at my decease and if this debt to
me shall be counted below that sum or paid off at my decease then the said
Legacy of the residue thereof as the case may be shall be paid out of my
personal estate also I give and devise all my freehold and copyhold messuages
lands and hereditaments unto my three Sons Thomas Nash Peter Nash and Swan Nash
and to their heirs and assigns as tenants in common also I give and bequeath
unto my said three sons Thomas Nash Peter Nash and Swan Nash their executors
administrators and assigns all my goods chattels and personal estate whatsoever
and wheresoever and subject to the payment of my first/just? of all monies
charged on my real and personal estates and of my funeral and testamentary
expenses and I do hereby in pursuance and execution of the power given to me
under of by virtue of the articles of copartnership by which the business of a
common Brewer? and other businesses at Cambridge and elsewhere are now carried
on by me in copartnership and in exercise and execution of all and every or any
other right of power possessed by me in this behalf nominate and appoint my said
three sons Thomas Nash Peter Nash and Swan Nash to be my successors in the said
copartnership business or businesses and I hereby give to and vest in my said
three sons all rights powers and privileges which I am in any coise? enable to
confer upon or repose? in them as my successors in the said copartnership
business or businesses and I direct? that the following sales purchases and
transfers of portions of my real and personal estates shall be made by my said
three sons (that is to say my leasehold estate in and near Oxford Street in the
County of Middlesex shall be conveyed and assigned so that the same shall become
the absolute property of my son Swan Nash his executors administrators and
assigns and he shall as a consideration for the same pay unto my personal estate
for the benefit of my said three sons as Residuary Legatees the sum of three
thousand pounds and my freehold and copyhold estate at foulmire? and Thriplow in
the the county of Cambridge or in either of them and my leasehold messuage farm
and lands called Carlton Grange in the county of Cambridge and all my tenant
right and interest there-in and all my goods growing and other crops live and
dead stores? implements and utensils of husbandry tillage and other tenants
property upon the said farm and lands at my decease shall be valued and
appraised by two competent persons one to be chosen by my son Thomas Nash and
the other by my two other sons or by the umpire to be appointed by such? two
persons in case of their differing in opinion and the last mentioned freehold
copyhold and leasehold and other personal estate shall be conveyed assigned and
transferred so as to vest absolutely in my said son Thomas Nash his heirs
executors and administrators and he shall as a consideration for the same pay
into my personal estate for the benefit of my three sons as residuary legatees
the amount of such valuation but in such valuation in?addition shall be made
thereto in respect of the value of any tenant right or term of years which I may
have at my decease in the said Carlton Grange farm but the same shall pay to my
son Thomas Nash without his his being charged any price for such tenant right or
term and all my freehold and copyhold estates held with thhe said Cambridge
Brewery and all my share and interest therein and all my personal estate
employed in the said Cambridge Brewery and all my right and interest in the said
copartnership property including all such articles as shall be comprized in the
last cost or balance sheet of the said copartnership meset? preceding my decease
shall be valued and appraized by two competent persons one to be chosen by my
son Peter Nash and the other by my two other sons or by the umpire to be
appointed by such two persons in case of their differing in opinion and the last
mentioned freehold copyhold leasehold and personal estate shall be conveyed
assigned and transferred so as to vest absolutely in my said son Peter Nash his
heirs executors and administrators and he shall as a consideration for the same
pay into my personal estate for the benefit of my said three sons as residual
legatees the amount of such last mentioned valuation and as I have given these
directions for the mutual advantage of my said three sons I rely on their
carrying them into execution promptly and with mutual kindness and equity and
appoint my said three sons joint executors of this my will and I devise to
my said three sons and their heirs all estates vested in me as mortgagee or
trustee upon the trustees and subject to the equities affecting the same
but the money secured? upon such mortgages shall go as part of my personal
estate In witness whereof I the said Swan Nash the Testator have to this my last
will and Testament set my hand this twenty first day of December in the year of
our Lord One thousand eight hundred and forty one - Swan Nash - signed published
and declared by the said Swan Nash the Testator as and for his last will and
Testament in the presence of us present at the same time who in his presence and
in the presence of each other hereunto subscribe our names as witnesses the word
"personal" in the seventh line from the bottom of the first page thereof having
been first written on an erasure also the word "four" in the fourth line from
the top of the first page having been first written on an erasure and the words
"as tenants in common" in between the tenth and eleventh lines from the bottom
of the first page thereof having been first interlined - J?P Wedd - Henry

London the 29th June 1844 before the Judge by the oaths of Thomas Nash and Peter
Nash the Sons two of the Executors to whom administration was granted having
been first sworn by commission only to administer power coserved? of making the
life grant to Swan Nash the Son also the other Executor when he shall apply for
